I study various aspects of fundamental materials science with focus on electrochemical energy harvesters, stress effect on electrochemistry and solid-state materials chemistry. I enjoy both experimental and computational tools including micro/nano-fabrication, in situ electron microscopy and density functional theory calculations.
I currently work as a senior research scientist at the Center for Electronic Materials, Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST). Prior to joining KIST, I received my Ph.D. under the guidance of Prof. Ju Li at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2016 and B.S. at University of California, Berkeley in 2010.
